I'm sorry. I know I've been MIA since October, but I 'm back with lots of great new ideas for you this month. Thanks to all my readers who have e-mailed to check in on things. You guys are great!

May is almost upon us and that means Mother's Day.

It's the perfect opportunity to let Mom know what she means to you. Make her a special cake, take her out to lunch, throw a garden party. It doesn't matter what you do as long as you let her know she's special and you appreciate everything she does for you.

Mother's Day Ideas

If ever there's a time to plan the perfect garden party, it's Mother's Day. Get your daughters, mothers, aunts and grandmas together for an afternoon of down and dirty fun in the flower garden. Then treat them to a fabulous tea party to finish the day, with one of the great new Mother's Day cakes, just added to the site, as a centerpiece.

1. Get the kids involved. Plant a flower garden for Mom as a surprise and unveil it at the party.

2. Serve up lots of different kinds of tea and iced tea in pretty vintage cups from the thrift store.
