ahhh...cutting is stressing me out!

Ok...so I am decorating a cake and whenever I cut it, it seems to just crumble and fall apart! I don't know why, I have followed all of the instructions, am I doing it to early or what?? HELP ME!!! PLEASE

When To Cut A Cake

Hi Maddy,

It may be just what you said, that you are cutting the cake too early. For filling and crumb coating, refrigerate the cake for a couple of hours before splitting the layers and filling.

If you're cutting the cake to serve it, refrigerate for at least a couple hours (even better, overnight) and let the cake come to room temperature before cutting.
