airplane cake

I made this Airplane Cake for my son's 1st birthday!

I stacked 3 banana cakes (did a double recipe) (from 9 inch pans), and cut up the plane from a yellow cake from another 9 inch, and to the buttercream I added a bag of white chocolate pudding mix.

It was my first cake so the plane looks a bit funny!! haha and my blue frosting came out turquoise, but it was delicious and my 38 guests were all impressed anyways!

Thanks for this great site! I will return soon and try to make my second cake.

My husband got me a Kitchenaid mixer for my birthday yesterday, so I'm all equipped now!
