Vegas Anniversary Cake
I made this Anniversary Cake for one of my daughters best friends from elementary school. She and her husband got married in Vegas and didn't have a wedding cake so she liked the cake I made for myself for my 50th birthday and asked if I could make her this. I love a challenge so of course I jumped on it.
I made a template and baked several yellow cakes. Then cut the cake from the template.
I made the welcome using cupcakes. I iced the cake with white icing them rolled out my fondant and molded it to the cake. I used different pre-colored fondants for the letters, trim and star.
I had to make my own letter templates and star (couldn't find any to fit my project). I then added the gold dragees around the cake for the lights (I wanted real lights but haven't figured out how to do that yet).
This cake was so much fun to make...but it did take some time though, but I'd do it again in a heart beat.
From the editor:
Great Anniversary Cake Sandy. Thanks so much for the detailed instructions.
Regards,
Michelle (editor)
