Baby Shower Cake

For this pregnant belly Baby Shower Cake I used a basic vanilla sponge cake recipe and carved out the belly and the boobies.

I made a lemon condensed milk filling for the cake and iced it with lemon flavoured buttercream.

I made the dress, ribbons, flowers, etc with fondant and covered the cake. I iced it with buttercream before covering it because fondant is not very tasty. It was a quick and easy cake to make.

Everybody at the baby shower raved about the cake, just wish I was there to see the Mommy-to-be's face....
