Basic Buttercream

by Ruthie

I am getting ready to try the Basic Butter Cream Filling, and before I start wanted to clarify. Should the two sticks of butter be at room temperature or solid?

Butter Temp

Hi Ruthie,

Your butter should be at room temperature. Here's a good trick I use a lot:

If you haven't remembered to leave your butter out to come to room temperature, just beat it in your stand mixer, on medium speed, for about 2-3 minutes, and you're good to go.
