When the buttercream recipe calls for butter, is it salted or unsalted butter?

Hi Wendy,
I like to use salted butter because I think it cuts the sweetness of the buttercream a little, but you can also use unsalted butter without any ill effect to the resulting buttercream.
It's personal preference really.
