CAKE RINGS

Does anyone know anything about using cake rings? On one of the decorating shows several of the designers bake a square cake then ice and stack 2 or more layers and use a cutter to cut out perfectly straight round cakes. I can see where this might be an advantage for wedding cakes although there would be some waste. Does anyone use them?

Hi Wanda,

I have never used them personally, but I agree that for a wedding or very special occasion they would be useful to get a perfect shape.
