Can a creamcheese pound cake be left at room temperature?

I love Michelle's Cream cheese pound cake recipe and I will be using it to make a carved airplane. The plane is too big to place in the fridge. Can I leave this at room temperature since it has cream cheese in it? I plan on carving the cake the night before and putting MMF on it, and then the next day adding details and delivering.
Thanks everyone!! Lucie
From the editor:
Hi Lucie,
Yes, even though the pound cake has cream cheese in it, you can store it at cool room temperature for up to 48 hours.
Good luck with your airplane cake. Sounds like a big project. Make sure you take lots of pictures so you can come back here and share your masterpiece with us.
Regards,
Michelle (editor)
