Can I travel with buttercream?

Is the buttercream recipe one that I can make ahead, travel to the party location, and finish the cake? I don't want it to melt or get funny on the 2.5 hour drive.

Hi Emily,

Just put the buttercream in a cooler with a couple of ice-packs and you'll have nothing to worry about! I've driven completed cakes up to 3 hours away and had no problem.
