Chocolate Mousse

I am wanting to fill an upcoming cake with a chocolate mousse, but am having a hard time finding a good recipe. I am really looking for a recipe that does not involve eggs. Do you have any ideas or recipes??

Easiest Chocolate Mousse EverH

Hi Stephanie,

I always use this for chocolate mousse:

1 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
8 ounces chocolate (whatever kind you like)

Heat cream in microwave until not quite boiling (about 2-3 mins). Pour over chopped chocolate in large bowl and let sit for 3 minutes, then stir until completely smooth. Freeze for 2 hours or refrigerate for 4 hours, then whip until lighter in color and fluffy (a few minutes). Just don't over whip or you'll end up with chocolate butter :-)
