Cookie Monster 1st Birthday Cake!
To make this Cookie Monster 1st Birthday Cake, I Baked 3x10 inch rounds and 1x9 inch round, 2 cakes in small Pyrex bowls(for the head) and 2 loaf pans (for arms and feet).
Stack the 10" rounds and place a 9" roound on top, carve off extra around the edges to make the body.
Next, place the 2 round pieces on top of the body, I took the excess cake and put it around the head to make the neck. NOTE: this must all be crumb coated or fur will not stick. ALSO, use 3 or 4 wooden dowels to secure head to the body.
After the body is put together and crumb coated, pipe all around body and head with a #233 grass decorating tip.
Cut the loaf pan cakes in half (vertically) to make hands and feet. Pipe fur onto the hands and feet.
For the eyes I used extra cake, but giant marshmallows work well too!
And that's it!
I used:
5 boxes of cake mix
8 cans of vanilla icing
1 large cookie!
