Cream Cheese Fillings
Does the Cream cheese recipes posted on this site require refrigeration? If I fill a chocolate cake with cream cheese filling and cover it with fondant, do I have to refrigerate the cake?
From the editor:
You should always refrigerate fillings that contain eggs or dairy so, yes, the cream cheese filling should be refrigerated.
If you're covering a cake in fondant and using this filling, you should cover the cake only on the morning of the day you're using the cake. It will be fine at room temperature for that length of time.
