Crumb coat a cake
what type of frosting is best to use to crumb coat a cake?
From the editor:
Hi,
Just use a slightly thinned down buttercream to crumb coat a cake. Let it set for at least a couple of hours, but preferably overnight. This will allow the filling and the crumb coat to firm up and give you a good foundation to decorate on.
Good luck.
