easy method for making jungle trees out of modeling chocolate

It's my son's third birthday and I am making him a Diego cake.

I have four jungle animals for it but in need of some trees and not sure how to go about making them out of modeling chocolate.

From the editor:

I have an even easier method than modeling chocolate for you. Try this fabulous, easy paint and peel chocolate method. You can see in the pictures for that tutorial, that I simply piped the tree trunks in buttercream, but if you would like more 3D details, use any brand of cigar (rolled) cookies for the trunks. It will look like the trees on the waterfall cake, shown above. If you like the coconuts, they're just choco puffs cereal!

Good luck.
