Adoption Castle Cake fit for a princess
This Castle Cake was made for a little girl that had recently been adopted ,so this was to celebrate her special day. Of course you could make this cake for any girly occasion.
This Castle Cake was made with 6,9 and 12 inch butter cakes, with strawberry and bavarian filling.
I iced the cake in white buttercream , but it could be done in blue. I used the Wilton Castle Cake Set pieces and covered them in fondant that I had embossed with my Cobblestone Mat
. I also used the mat on my cake to give it the cobblestone look. I airbrushed the cake with blue and super pearl luster dust mixed together
The top of the turrets were made by a rolling pin. Then I used my template from the Wilton kit to cut out the pieces to fit .I attached all the castle parts with white chocolate.
The fun part of this cake was all the flowers. They are all made of fondant and the hearts were an added detail. Grass tip (#233) was used for the border of the cake and then the leaf tip for extra accents. This was such a fun cake to make.
I love this family and wanted to make this cake so special for them. I am so glad that this princess found her castle!
