I am filling a layer cake with Raspberry filling, how do I keep the Raspberry from absorbing into the cake?

Raspberry Filling

Make sure the filling consistency isn't too thin and this shouldn't be a problem. If you're concerned at all, here's a great trick you can use:

Spread the top and bottom of each cake layer thinly with melted white or dark chocolate and allow it to set before adding the strawberry filling. This also adds a fabulous, unexpected crunch to the filling.
