Fire Truck Cake

This Fire Truck Cake was made from a mix with buttercream frosting made from scratch.

I am a beginner cake decorator. The passion came from building gingerbread houses and the encouragement from friends. I haven't started watching the clock and definitely need to work on time management. Once I get into the "cake zone" I lose all track of time!

My fire fighter boss just turned 30 and requested a fire truck cake. It's just a simple 9x13 cake with fondant decorations. I usually use coloring pages for templates, roll out the fondant and get out the Xacto knife. My favorite part of this cake is the fire and how well the blending turned out.

From the editor:

What a fabulous job you've done with the cutting. I love all the details you've added to this cake.

Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
