Fun decorating ideas/techniques?

Hello!
I am hoping to make an awesome cake, but I don't know how to decorate it. I want to do something with frosting, like flowers, but I don't know how. What other delights can I top on a cake to make it look beautiful? I need something easy, because I am not experienced.

Buy a box of Wilton pre-made Fondant. It plaoin white you can add color and best of all there are step ny step directions on the back to show you how to make flowers and bows. You'll have fun- trust me.
