Camoflauged Groom's Cake

Camoflauged Groom's Cake

This Grooms Cake was my first attempt at decorating a cake. Having spent all the money on the bride's cake, I decided to do the groom's.

Four tiers of chocolate cake-four layers each-filled will chocolate ganache and covered with chocolate butter cream, then all wrapped with chocolate camouflage fondant.

I Made a mix of fall leaves, twigs and acorns placed about on the cake and topped with a buck and doe figurine.

Everyone thought it came from the same bakery as the wedding cake. AMAZED!

The entire chocolate cake disappeared. The thousand dollar wedding cake was beautiful, but not the details I ordered, nor did it taste anything like the taste test. Can't wait to do another. Lots of fun!

From the editor:

Trish, what an ambitious first project, especially under such stressful conditions as a wedding! Beautiful job.

Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Regards,

Michelle (editor)
