Harley Davidson Cake

by Becky
(Clifton, NJ)

This Harley Davidson Cake was for my boyfriend, I surprised him at work.

The cake is funfetti cake from scratch from a recipe I found online, the icing is buttercreme from a recipe I got from a Wilton cake class.

I took a picture of the Harley emblem and cut it out of a 1/4 sheet cake, sliced in half iced it with buttercream.

The bottom was a half sheet cake. Again, I cut it in half and iced it.

Then I did an orange and black shell tip border. Everyone loved the cake except the black stained your teeth :-(

the picture in the corner was a smaller picture of what I used to trace out the top layer. Thought the corner was boring since the toy bike was in the other so I stuck it there.

From the editor:

Thanks for sharing your great Harley Davidson Cake, Becky. I'll bet your boyfriend was very pleasantly surprised when you arrived at the office.
