Hello Kitty cake

by Tara Holland
(San Diego)

This Hello Kitty Cake is a yellow mix cake with decorating icing!

This was an 8" round cake and I added the ears from a separate cake! I had problems with the right ear but I pieced it together with the buttercream crumb coat!

This cake only took a few hours between cooking, chilling, piecing together, buttercream and icing! It was fun and my daughter loved it! I am now starting to do cakes and icings from scratch!

That's a cute Hello Kitty cake Tara. Thanks for sharing.

10 years ago, I too, made my very first decorated cake from a mix and pre-packaged frosting. Isn't it amazing how quickly you want to do more and make things from scratch?

Have fun and please come back and share more of your wonderful cakes with us.

Regards,

Michelle (editor)
