Hot Dog Cake

A Hot Dog Cake to please any Hot Dog Lover
This Hot Dog Cake was baked in a bread loaf pan and then sliced down the center with the corners rounded out.
I covered the whole thing with home made fondant (colored beige) and then formed the wiener out of the left over fondant and lay it in the center. With the back of a butter knife I pressed in the grill lines on the bun and the tie lines on the end of the wieners.
Mixing Wilton food color paste with a small bit of margarine I hand painted the wiener. Mixing food color paste and water I brushed color along the sides of the 'bun' to give it a toasted color.
The ketchup and mustard are just piped buttercream. This cake cut approximately 30 slices and was a huge hit.
