How Do I get filling into a cake without splitting it into layers?
I am looking for a good recipe for a white cake with strawberry filling. I need to put the filling in prior to baking the cake. I am making a character cake in a single pan and it is too big to slice in half, remove top half, fill and then try and get the top back on without ruining it. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
From the editor:
When making cakes that are difficult to fill the usual way, try a Bismarck Tip. You just fill a pastry bag, fitted with this tip and use it to inject the filling into the cake. Add the filling in several spots all over the cake and frost as usual. Easy!
