How Do I make a cake to look like a turkey?
I was told if I make 3 round cakes, I could use one as the body as the turkey and the others will be used as my cut outs having a hard time with that can you help me make my cakes look like a turkey???

The easiest way to make a turkey cake is actually with two cakes baked in 8-9" stainless steel bowls and one loaf cake.
To make the body, trim the wide end of the bowl cakes flat, join them with frosting and trim about two inches off one side of the finished ball shape, so you have a flat side to sit on the cake board.
To make the wings, slice the loaf cake in half diagonally and carve the resulting wedges into drumstick shapes.
Join the drumsticks to the body using long bamboo skewers.
Now you're ready to frost and color your turkey.
You could try to approximate these steps using round cakes, but there will be a lot more carving and shaping involved. To help make it easier, freeze the cakes for about 30 minutes before carving.
