I have to make a baby shower cake for a girl, and I'm making pink, white, and brown marshmallow fondant.

I can make pink, but how in the world do you make brown?

Making Chocolate Fondant
by: Michelle (admin)

Hi Ruth,

There are two ways you can do this:

1. Make the marshmallow fondant with chocolate marshmallows. Just replace all the marshmallows called for in the recipe with the chocolate variety. This will give you a light chocolate fondant. For a more chocolatey fondant try tip #2.

2. Replace about 1 cup of the powdered sugar with cocoa powder and mix in at the same time as the powdered sugar. This will give you a great chocolate fondant that you can make as dark or light as you like by varying the amount of powdered sugar you replace with cocoa powder.

Don't forget to come back and share pictures and instructions of your baby shower cake with us.

Regards,
