How early can I make cupcakes & frosting before serving?
by Kari

I have a party this saturday for 100 people. I am making cupcakes and frosting from scratch. I need to know how many days in advance can I make both the cupcakes and the frosting without them tasting stale or going bad? I will be frosting the cupcakes the day of the party. Please advise, I need suggestions. HELP!
From the editor:
Hi Kari,
You can make the cupcakes two days before the party and if you store them covered, they'll be fine.
Frosting is fine to make a week or so in advance.
Assembly is best the day of, if it's an event later in the day, or the night/day before.
Good luck.
Regards,
Michelle (editor)
