How long can a cake, using choc. mousse, for filling, go without being in the fridge?

Hi Fairy,

It depends on what you use to make the chocolate mousse. For example, if you use the whipped chocolate ganache filling from this site, you can store the cake at cool room temperature for up to 48 hours.

However, if you make your chocolate mousse using raw eggs, it requires constant refrigeration until being served.

Personally, I'd go with the whipped chocolate ganache!
