How many cakes can I cover with 4 lbs of fondant?
I am making a special cake for my son as he is graduating from elementary school this year, the middle school that he will be attending is right next door to his current school. I am planning to make a replica of his school and the school he will be attending. both are fairly large schools.
One school will be 4 layers, and 14 inches by 14 inches, the other is in 3 parts, 18 in by 6 in, 3 layer, 4 in by 2 in, 2 layer, 22in by 10 in and 3 layers.
also wondering how long before hand can you make fondant figures without them going bad.
Thanks

Hi Tina,
Wow! that's quite a project you're undertaking.
Here's how much fondant you'll need:
for the 14" x 14" - 6 pounds
for the 18" x 6" - 4.5 pounds
4" x 2" - about 1 pound
22" x 10" - 3 pounds
Please take lots of pictures and come back here to share your amazing cake with everyone. I know I can't wait to see it!
Good luck.
Regards,
Michelle (editor)
