How to get luster dust to stick to fondant?

by Tina

What would you use to help sparkles, luster dust, etc to stick to fondant without using something that will make the fondant dissolve?

From the editor:

Hi Tina,

If you just want a subtle coloring, brush the luster dust on and swirl around with the brush as you apply.

If you would like a more intense color or sparkle, mix with a little vodka, or other clear alchohol, and paint the luster dust on. Since the alchohol evaporates quickly, your fondant won't disintegrate.
