This super cute kids birthday cake is based on the very popular Furby toy. It's a chocolate cake, made using 4 x 8" round cake pans.

I made Fondant ears feet and eyes.

Using predominantly buttercream, with fondant accents is my favorite way to decorate. You get the best of both worlds - great taste and fabulous details.

The ears, feet and face details could me made using:

1. marshmallow fondant, or

2. modeling chocolate.

An easy way to get details like the face looking really good, is to use a toy as your guide.

It's obvious you worked hard on this cake with all the fabulous detail in butter cream and fondant. This is really well done and super cute!
