Ladybug Cake

Lady bug with sunflower cupcakes
Used a big Pyrex bowl to make the ladybug body and a small one for the head. Covered in buttercream icing dyed to a deep red and black (icing was left a little too long during the travel from my house to the party and began to run :( ) Cupcakes are chocolate covered with green buttercream icing for grass with small and large oreos with yellow icing "petals" to look like sunflowers and red M&Ms with black icing piped on to look like baby ladybugs. Made for my niece's first birthday. The idea was found at Cakedecoratingcorner.com among other websites.
