Metallic Shimmer Powder

I am looking for metallic silver and metallic gold shimmer powder. When you add vodka or vanilla to these you are able to paint the metallic color on the fondant of the cake. I have tried the Wilton shimmer powders (both gold and silver) that Michaels has to offer. When I mix either of them with vodka or vanilla, they do not seem to give me that bright, shiny, metallic finish. Does anyone know where I can get shimmer powders, or a brand of shimmer powder, that would give me a chrome silver finish or a bright shiny gold finish??? I am working on a cake that I would really like to use them on. Thanks!!!

Hi Stephanie,

The brand I use is Crystal Colors. I have been very happy with all metallic powders from this company so far. You can buy them on-line from several different cake decorating supply sites.
