Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake

by Jaime
(Michigan)

I made this Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake for my sons 2nd birthday.

It is my first attempt at making a homemade cake, EVER.

It is 3 stacked 9" devils food cakes with a vanilla buttercream icing. I purchased the Mickey figures off eBay.

My fondant was very sticky, so I had some trouble with tearing. I didn't allow myself much time to do this (left it all for the day of his party), so by the end I was very frustrated. But I made due, tried to cover up the mistakes and this was the end result! My son and everyone at the party loved it!
