Monkey Cake

This Monkey Cake is a 2 layer sheet cake covered in Green fondant with brown poka dots.

The Monkey is made of rice krispies & gumpaste and covered with choc frosting to look like fur.

It took me two days to make him! The baby was made of 50/50 gumpaste & fondant I had to get the skin color just right, then put in mold.

I made the cabbage leaves for the baby to sleep in, out of green fondant.

The cake took me 3 days to complete. It was for a friends baby shower for her first grand child. Everyone went crazy over the monkey. It was the first time I had ever done anything like this before and it was a challenge.
