Pink Cake

Pink Cake

I was asked to make a Pink cake for a All Pink Princess Party.

This was a cute cake - top tier is a 6" and bottom 8" vanilla cake that I added pink gel to.. filled and covered with Michelle's DELICIOUS!! buttercream.

I crumb coated the cake, let it harden overnight, then frosted the cake, let that stand a couple of hours in the fridge and added the fondant details.

The base is a thick cardboard we found when my husband opened his tool box (I LOVE THIS STUFF WISH I KNEW WHERE TO BUY IT). I made a small batch of royal icing, covered the cardboard with it and let it harden and glued pink ribbon around it. I think it makes a nice finish!

From the editor:

Lucie this is beautiful. I love the tiny daisies as a border around the top tier.

Great job.

Regards,

Michelle (editor)
