playstation 3 cake
I need to know how to assemble and cover a cake to resemble a sony playstation 3. The concern is with the curved shape that it has.

The PS3 is actually quite a complex shape to achieve in cake. I would start with two rectangular cakes. Carve a 2" srip off the long side of one of them and stack the two, with the narrower cake on the bottom. This will create the overhang for the front of the console.
To get the curve on the top will require some carving. Freeze the cake for about 30 minutes to firm up a little and use a very long, serrated knife to carve a little at a time. Carve from the center out to the edge of the cake until you like the look of the shape.
