divide the buttercream in to five bowls with about 2/3 cup in one and the rest evenly divided.
fill the ice cream cone with White frosting (this will form the Poodle body).
secure the upside-down cone to the top of the cake, just off-center, with a large dab of buttercream.
cut the tip off the cone about an inch down from the top.
frost the body with Light Pink frosting.
pipe pale pink buttercream, to about the size and shape of a golf ball, on top of the body to form the head.
pipe a small sausage shape on the front of the head for the snout and two more long shapes on the sides of the head for ears.
add two lines of frosting down the front of the body for the front legs and a small blob of frosting either side for the hind legs.

trim the bottom edge of the cake with a feather boa trim. You can achieve this easily with a piping bag fitted with the #233 decorating tip and fuschia buttercream.
pipe the yellow buttercream polka-dots around the bottom tier of the cake, as shown, using a ziploc bag with a 1/4" hole snipped in the corner.

add the fluffy details to the poodle ears, neck and paws, as shown, using the fuschia Frosting and #233 grass tip.
cut the jelly bean in half and gently push each half into place to make the poodle eyes.
pipe some eye lashes and pupils on the eyes, a dot for the nose, claw details on the paws and a row of tiny dots in between the top row of polka-dots to complete the details, using the Black buttercream and a decorating bag fitted with a #2 round tip.
finish with a happy birthday message piped around the top of the cake, if you like.
You're done! Now go get a well deserved cup of coffee and sit back for a few minutes to admire your handiwork. Remember to take a picture while your masterpiece still looks perfect.
