ribbon tying??

How can I tie a ribbon around a fondant covered cake?
Do I use some sort of glue or a pin to hold it in place around the base of a tier cake?

Hi Bibi,

I would use a small dot of royal icing on each end of the ribbon.

Alternatively, you could use a mix of meringue powder and water and paint the ribbon with just a little of the mix as you place it on the cake. Just make sure not to use too much or the ribbon will slide.
