Little Einsteins Rocket Cake

Little Einsteins Rocket Cake

This is my first Little Einsteins Rocket Cake.

I had no previous experience, and no idea what buttercream was. I was determined to make this cake for my son's 2nd birthday. So, I recorded all the cake making shows, went to the craft store and bought a "starter kit" full of disposable bags & tips.

I made 2 cake mixes. One in a rectangle pan, and one in an oval glass dish (to get the bump on the top of rocket) I shaved the rectangle to become more oval. I placed the ova

l cake on top. I used 2 twinkies as the rockets. I frosted the entire cake with a #16 star tip. I used red food coloring (which had no taste) and just frosted the window in blue. My son knew exactly what it was and I felt like the best mom ever. I currently am taking some wilton courses:)
