should fondant be refrigerated?

I am making a cake for my son's birthday party tomorrow.
I have made the cake and frosted it with buttercream. But I will not put the fondant on it until tomOrrow.
Should I refrigerate the frosted cake or leave it out?

Hi Heather,
Sorry this reply won't find you in time for your party, but hopefully the answer will be useful for future visitors.
You can refrigerate a buttercream frosted cake before you cover it with fondant, but not after. There is a danger of water spots forming on the fondant after the cake is removed from the fridge, which would spoil all your hard work.
