Spongebob Cake
by Corre
(Urbana, OH)
For my Spiongebob Cake, I baked a 13x9 cake from a Ducan Hines mix.
I crumb coated it with White icing from Pillsbury. I took a glass we had to make the eyes of Spongebob. I drew on the nose, mouth, shirt, tie and pants with a toothpick in the white crumb coat.
I mixed up 1/2 can of Pillsbury White Icing and Wilton Leaf Green Gel Tint for his sponge holes. 1 1/2 cans of Pillsbury White Icing and Wilton Yellow Gel tint. 1/2 can of Pillsbury White Icing and Wilton Black Gel Tint to trace his eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, etc. 1/2 can of Pillsbury White Icing and No Taste Red Gel Tint to fill in his tongue and tie. 1/4 can of Pillsbury White Icing and Wilton Blue Gel Tint for his Eyes. 1 can of Pillsbury Choc Icing for his shorts.
I traced everything in Black with a #2 tip. I used Tip# 3 to draw a line around the outside of Spongebob. I used #17 tip and filled in the rest of him.
