Stacking large cake layers?

I am going to be baking 2 12"x18" cakes and stacking them to make it a 2layer sheet cake. I will be using one of your buttercream fillings and decorator's frosting.

I think I can turn the first layer out onto a cake board but I can't figure out how to get the second layer on top of the filling without tearing it.What is the best way to do this?

The easiest way to move larger layers for stacking is to put them on a cardboard cake round (or rectangle in this case) and slide them into position. If you don't have ready-made cake rounds, just re-cycle a cardboard box for the purpose. Cut to size and you're all set!
