Star Wars Cake

by Annie

This Star Wars Cake is the R2D2 cake that I did for my son for his 12th birthday. The icing was fondant with butter cream covering the cake. This cake called for a lot of cutting and placing, and looking at pictures to figure out how to get such brilliant colors. I decided to paint the blue colors on with gel food coloring. The rest of the Star Wars cake is fondant. After everything was on the cake, I brushed it with pearl dust and vodka to make it shimmer.
