Is there a recipe to make a fondant cake from scratch, start to finish? Like the cake, icing, and fondant all in one?

Fondant Cake Directions
by: Michelle (admin)

Hi Leah,

Here's what you need to do:

1. Bake a cake. You'll need a great cake recipe. Choose any of these - they will all take fondant covering well.

2. Tort (split the layers) and fill.

3. Crumb coat the cake and refrigerate overnight (bare minimum 2 hours).

4. Top coat with buttercream.

3. Cover with fondant - here's a video tutorial to show you how. You can use store-bought fondant or make your own great tasting marshmallow fondant.

I hope this makes the process easier for you. Good luck.

Regards,
