Some Ideas For Strawberry Frosting & Filling
by: Michelle (admin)

Hi Tammie,

Try these ideas to get you started:

1. Whip 1 cup of heavy whipping cream with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. When stiff peaks have formed, fold in up to 1 cup of strawberry preserves and use to fill between cake layers.

2. Add a box of strawberry jello (just the powder - don't make up the jello) to your favorite buttercream recipe. Mix it in with the powdered sugar.

3. Make up this no-bake cheesecake recipe and let it set in the fridge overnight. On each cake layer, start with a 1/2" high ring of stiff frosting around the perimeter, fill in the middle with the cheesecake mix and then top with a thin layer of strawberry preserves.

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup white sugar

In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and lemon juice until soft. Add whipping cream and beat with an electric mixer until mixture becomes thick. Add the sugar and continue to beat until stiff. Chill overnight.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Michelle (editor)
