SUPER 8 Cake!

It's Great, at Super 8!

My husband was living in a super 8 for a year due to being in the military, and the military not having enough housing on base to house them... I went down one weekend to visit, and made the super 8 staff a cake, in my husbands toaster oven.. (and I'm not kidding!)

It's a chocolate cake. I took 2 round 8" pans, and filled them both with batter (I had to bake them one at a time, since i was doing this with limited space in a toaster oven..- I'm sure the average oven will be able to fit both at once haha)

After the cakes cooled, I made up a little cake board out of a ps3 box and tin foil amd placed the cakes on top of it. I used a baby formula can (rinsed out of course), to take the round center out of each round cake (to make the 8 have holes in it)... and then I decorated with buttercream frosting, yellow food coloring, yellow sprinkles, and black gel..

Pretty good for having limited supplies in a hotel room eh?
