The best recipe

for a multi tiered birthday cake. I am making a cake that is 2 large rocks, with a dragon on top. The two rocks will be one chocolate with caramel butterscotch icing, with cream cheese raspberry filling. Which recipes do you recommend for the cake part of the cake?

You can use any recipe you like, but I'm always a fan of pound cake if you'll be doing any carving of 3D shapes for your cake.
