To buttercream or not to buttercream

I'm making my son cupcakes for his baptism and I wanted to use your basic buttercream recipe for the frosting and hazelnut buttercream for the filling. Can I decorate the day before and how long can they sit outside?

Hi Ruth,

The day before is fine. You can leave the buttercream at room temperature for 24-48 hrs without a problem.
