What is a bowl cake? Where do I get the pan to make one?

Hi Grace,

A bowl cake is simply a cake baked in a bowl. They are often used for the Barbie Doll cakes that are so popular and many other novelty type cakes.

Any oven proof bowl will do for baking your cake in. You will need to bake the cakes for much longer than you might expect when using this method. It generally takes anywhere from 55 to 90 minutes for a bowl cake to bake all the way through.
